The brief
A living room that never quite settled — light enough, but with nothing holding it together. The owners wanted it cosy without it closing in.
What I did
The palette was set first, across walls, fabric and floor together, then furniture laid out to open the room rather than line its edges. Samples were left in the house for a week so the colours could be seen in the real light before anything was bought.
